What is Hash Function
An algorithm or one-way function which takes a set of data and condenses it to a fixed length binary number (hash value or hash). The function must ensure that: It is virtually impossible to find two valid sets of data that will result in the same hash value.
It is impossible to derive the original data that was used to produce a given hash value.
