What is Parliamentary Agent

These are special lawyers that have satisfied the Speaker of the House of their knowledge of the Private Bill procedure in both the House of Lords and the House of Commons. These lawyers can introduce and promote Private Bills through Parliament for an individual, company or council and follow the complicated process that follows. They can also act for petitioners to oppose a Private Bill.

All Parliamentary Agents must be registered with the Private Bill Office.
