Business Terms and Jargon Explained

What is Sugar Tax

This is a tax on products that contain sugar. The purpose of the tax is to discourage over indulgence in these products, as they can be bad for your health if you have a continuous high daily intake of sugar. This can lead to health problems. Many countries have been talking about this for years, as society is more interested to leading a healthy life style. The tax is generally levied on the manufacturer who then in turn pass the cost to the consumer.
